Increased Shipping Rates to the USA

Increased Shipping Rates to the USA

Posted by Justin on 1st Jul 2020

Today (July 1st), Royal Mail has imposed increases averaging 38% on parcel shipments to the USA. We regret to announce therefore that we will be forced to increase our US shipping rates with immediate effect.

We will absorb some of the increase, but unfortunately we cannot cover all of it, so our rates will rise by an average of 24%. Also, the threshold for free shipping will rise from £250 to £350, with a new shipping band for orders totalling £250-£350.

This change affects the USA only, and is due to a combination of raised charges by USPS for international inbound parcels, and increased air freight costs resulting from the continued impact of the Coronavirus pandemic. All other rates remain unchanged.

We are very sorry to have to do this, but we hope you will understand that these are circumstances entirely beyond our control. We do not (and have never) profited from shipping charges.

UPDATE Oct 2020
We have now introduced a completely new system
for calculating International shipping rates.
